Terms of Service
ShieldMailBox, operated by Luxurycart Corporation
Last updated: September 12, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using ShieldMailBox, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Mailbox use
- Use the mailbox only for lawful purposes and only for the personal and business names registered to your account.
- Do not use the service for fraud, deception, prohibited or hazardous materials, illegal activity, or to evade legal obligations.
- You are responsible for keeping your registered names, forwarding address, contact details, and instructions accurate.
- We may refuse, return, hold, or report mail where required by law, where instructions are incomplete, or where use appears to violate these Terms.
3. Address usage & Google Maps / Public Directory Policy
Your assigned ShieldMailBox suite is a commercial mailing address provisioned for official business registration, mail intake, and administrative operations. The following terms govern its use:
- Permitted Uses: You may use your assigned address for federal and provincial corporate registrations (Corporations Canada, Ontario Business Registry / ServiceOntario, Ownr), Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) tax accounts (Business Number, T2, GST/HST, payroll), business banking and merchant accounts (RBC, TD, BMO, Scotiabank, CIBC, Stripe, PayPal, Shopify), invoices, customer contracts, website contact footers, and courier package intake.
- Strict Prohibition on Public Map Pins: You are strictly prohibited from publishing, registering, verifying, or displaying our physical facility address (726 Lakeshore Rd E, Mississauga, ON or any other facility address) as a public physical storefront pin or map marker on Google Maps, Google Business Profile (GBP), Bing Places, Apple Maps, Yelp, or other public mapping/directory platforms.
- Reason for Prohibition: Under Google's official Business Profile guidelines and building regulations, virtual offices, mailboxes, and shared facility addresses cannot display a public map pin because customers cannot walk in unannounced during business hours to be met by your permanent on-site staff. Creating a public storefront pin misleads the public, directs unauthorized walk-in visitors to a private mail handling facility, and violates building lease rules.
- Permitted Local SEO (Service Area Business): If you operate a local business and wish to collect verified customer reviews and appear in local Google searches, you must configure your Google Business Profile strictly as a Service Area Business (SAB) with your physical street address hidden from public view, specifying only the geographic cities or areas you serve (e.g., Mississauga, Toronto, Greater Toronto Area).
- Enforcement & Remedies: Publishing an unauthorized public map pin at our facility address constitutes a material breach of these Terms. In the event of a violation, ShieldMailBox and facility management reserve the right to: (a) file immediate ownership challenges and public redressal removal complaints with Google Maps or directory providers to suspend or delete the unauthorized pin; (b) immediately suspend or terminate your mailbox subscription without notice or refund; and (c) hold you responsible for any administrative, verification, or legal expenses incurred in removing the unauthorized listing.
4. Mail handling and instructions
We provide mail receipt, logging, scanning, forwarding, pickup, and related mailbox services as available under your plan. You authorize us to act on the instructions submitted through your authenticated account. You remain responsible for the accuracy of recipient names, delivery addresses, and carrier instructions.
Digital scans are provided for convenience and are scheduled for deletion seven days after upload. You must download scans you wish to retain. Carrier delivery times, tracking, loss, and damage are outside our direct control.
5. Billing and cancellation
- Subscriptions renew monthly through Stripe unless cancelled.
- You authorize Stripe to charge the payment method associated with your subscription.
- You may request cancellation through your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period unless we state otherwise.
- Fees already paid for a billing period are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
- We may suspend service for non-payment, chargebacks, or a material breach of these Terms.
6. Account security
Keep your credentials confidential and promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity taken through your account until you notify us of a suspected compromise.
7. Service availability and liability
We work to operate the service reliably, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. To the extent permitted by law, ShieldMailBox and Luxurycart Corporation are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for carrier delays, loss, damage, or errors outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our services, legal requirements, or operations. The current version will be posted here with its effective date. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under applicable law.
